The Trustees.

The Foundation is governed by two trustees with more than fifty years of combined alternative investment experience. The same discipline that built Horsman Holdings governs how the Foundation's capital is invested and awarded.

Patrick B. Horsman, CFA

Managing Partner, Horsman Holdings

Patrick is a Canadian-born American investor and entrepreneur. He founded the Foundation, originally launched in 2015 as the Four Peaks Foundation, and seeded it with a $2 million personal gift to channel his investment success back into the education of the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Patrick is the Founder and Managing Partner of Octopus Investments, a Puerto Rico-based investment management platform that seeds and supports alternative asset managers globally. He is the Managing Partner of Horsman Holdings, his single-family office, and the Chief Investment Officer of BNB Plus Corp. (Nasdaq: BNBX), a public-company digital asset treasury.

Earlier in his career he co-founded Blue Sand Securities (2002), Merion Investment Management (2009), Context Summits (2010), Integrated Ag (2011), and Innovation Shares (2017). He is a CFA Charterholder, a graduate of the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management (Magna Cum Laude, 2002), and a member of TIGER 21, the Milken Institute, and the Family Office Association.

He is also a co-founder and board member of the CMO of Paradiso College Preparatory, a tuition-free charter school network in Puerto Rico.

Russell Gross

Chief Investment Officer, Horsman Holdings

Russ serves as Trustee of the Foundation and as Chief Investment Officer of Horsman Holdings, where he has overseen the family office's alternative investment portfolio since 2008. He partners with Patrick on sourcing, underwriting, and portfolio construction across the strategies the Foundation participates in.

Russ's focus spans hedge funds, private equity, real estate development, litigation finance, agriculture, insurance, and digital assets. His role at the Foundation mirrors the discipline he applies at the family office: rigorous diligence on every position, an emphasis on uncorrelated and niche strategies, and a long-term orientation that suits a perpetual charitable vehicle.

Russ is based in Miami Beach, where Horsman Holdings is headquartered, and works closely with Patrick on the Foundation's capital allocation as well as its scholarship awards each year.

A small board, by design.

The Foundation is intentionally lean. Decisions on awards, partnerships, and capital allocation are made by the two trustees together, drawing on more than fifty years of combined experience as institutional investors. There is no committee structure, no bureaucracy, and no friction between the people who manage the capital and the people who decide where it goes. Every applicant is read personally, and every investment decision is sized to a long time horizon.
